The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to egg or milk not to consume certain Honig brand soup products described below, where egg or milk is not declared on the label in English and French.

 

All lot codes of the following Honig brand products, imported from the Netherlands, where egg or milk is not declared on the label in English and French, are affected by this alert.

These products may have been distributed nationally.

 

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.

 

Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to egg or milk.

 

The CFIA is working with importers to have the affected products removed from the marketplace.  The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
