The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is closely following an investigation by U.S. authorities into possible contamination of lettuce with Escherichia coli 0145 bacteria (E. coli 0145) in the United States.

 

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product in Canada

 

The CFIA is working closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and continues its food safety investigation in Canada. The CFIA will take all necessary steps to protect the safety of the Canadian food supply.
