The CFIA launched the investigation after three beef cows from the two B.C. farms were classified as “reactors” (suspect) on brucellosis tests. These tests were done by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) during routine slaughter testing. Animals on both farms were tested for brucellosis, all with negative results.
